  • Nice work, as usual. Newness requirement satisfied by 5x expansion on March 3 and 4. Article is also long enough and appears to be well written and policy compliant. Hook is short enough and intriguing. QPQ satisfied. Image is of a Bowman baseball card, which has fallen into PD due to non-renewal.
The one issue I have is that the cited source (here) does not say that he rode his horse "to the pitcher's mound". Rather, it states more generically that he rode on horseback "onto the field". The secondary source (here), written prior to the event, indicates that the plan was for him to ride from left field to home plate on the horse. If there isn't a source specifically referencing the pitcher's mound, then a minor tweak will need to be made in the hook (and the article). Cbl62 (talk) 07:24, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Cbl62, this is a good example of the importance of peer review. I must have confabulated that he rode to the mound somehow. I'm revising that into ALT2, and am open to any wordsmithing. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:40, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Alts 1 and 2 are both fine. Cbl62 (talk) 20:19, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
Cbl62, I scratched ALT2 because of redundancy. How does ALT3 read? – Muboshgu (talk) 20:36, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
alt 3 reads better. It's good to go. Cbl62 (talk) 20:39, 5 March 2021 (UTC)
