- Comment: Just reading a thesis for an architect and he's designed some real beauties. I reckon (haven't finished reading it) this is the only memorial he designed and we've got a rather pretty photo of it, hence I just had to write the article. The special occasion hook (ALT1) is for the unveiling by the prime minister on 18 April. Sorry, that's a little over the desired 6 weeks maximum. When I started writing the article, I didn't know the date of unveiling nor that the prime minister deemed it sufficiently important to travel into the mountains for the occasion.

The article is new and long enough. I find monuments interesting. My vote is to approve ALT1 and hold for April 18 - I think it is more interesting on the anniversary. I checked the inline citations and they support the prose. The image is a QI and freely licensed. New Zealand has freedom of panorama. A few issues, citation 9 is nothing. Also there are three references supporting a single sentence in a few spots. Are they all needed for each sentence? Bruxton (talk) 02:32, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review, Bruxton. Glad you liked it. Ref #9 was there to show the title that belonged to the next reference but had unfortunately been clipped. I had erroneously duplicated that ref (i.e. #10 was the same). What I've now done is to reference the page instead and left a hidden edit note that by clicking into the item, it comes up individually and one can then read the text. The other occasion where I've used three references is because each one referenced a different aspect of what I had written. Schwede66 02:56, 11 February 2022 (UTC)
