Cocos (Keeling) Islands status referendum, 1984
[edit]- ... that the 1984 status referendum in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands has been described as the "smallest act of self-determination ever conducted"?

- Long enough (just); external link check ok; copyright check ok; new enough; fact used in the hook is specifically cited; QPQ done. Personally, I'd like if the two PDF references could also be given archival links as such refs have a habit of breaking over time. It would also be nice if there were more inbound links - currently only 2. My only real concern is whether the article says anything that is not already included in Cocos (Keeling) Islands itself. This article could easily be a subsection there (part of 2.4 "transfer to Australia") so I'd like to see greater differentiation between the content of the two articles. However, DYK is supposed to be for new articles - to give them visibility in the hope others will help them grow - so perhaps getting this will help solve the question I've posed.
