Djoewariah[edit]

Djoewariah, 1941

  • ... that Djoewariah (pictured) began her career as a victim of human trafficking and closed it as a queen?

  • New enough, long enough, certainly interesting enough, and properly sourced. The hook is excellent!. I am not sure if translations can ever be copyright violations, or how I could check if there are such concerns here, but there is no reason to doubt Crisco anyway. Anyway, are her dates of birth and death unknown? Surtsicna (talk) 10:10, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Translations can be copyright violations, if we follow the source too closely. Sadly, I haven't been able to track down much on her life outside the 15 years she was in film (not that odd for the Indies... no DOB for Kartolo, no date for Astaman and Roekiah... I've had no luck finding anything for Ratna Asmara...). The second paragraph is already more than any modern source has. The copies of Pertjatoeran Doenia dan Film I have scanned likewise don't have any information. Thanks for reviewing! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:26, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
