Eucommia eocenica[edit]

  • ... that seeds of the extinct tree Eucommia eocenica have been found with latex covered fossils?

  • Date and size check out, would prefer additional sources but the source is very reliable and additional sources are available through a quick check. Hook fact checks out but seems as if it could be worded better, would this alt hook be acceptable? - The Bushranger One ping only 23:38, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
ALT1: ... that fossil seeds of the extinct Eucommia eocenica tree contain latex that is still elastic?
  • I can go with the alt, though I think the original is hookier, hence the wording used in it. I dont actually find much other reliable source material when searching google scholar and google books for "Eucommia eocenica" (with quotes).--Kevmin § 23:42, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
  • Well, there's this, which - of course - doesn't include the page in question! I'm fine with either hook, just the first seems a little oddly worded but IANAS! - The Bushranger One ping only 23:52, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
  • I looked that one over and its a pretty simple overview of plant families/orders. Sadly lots of times the only viable sources are the peer-reviewed papers for extinct plants and animals. --Kevmin § 00:21, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
