Garry Williams (gridiron football)

[edit]
  • Reviewed: Curtis Comes Home
  • Comment: I've tried to condense this as much as possible. Feel free to copyedit, but please don't remove any specific injury without discussing first, as that is what makes this fact interesting. Williams is just about the unluckiest offensive lineman of all time.

5x expanded by BU Rob13 (talk). Self-nominated at 07:59, 2 August 2015 (UTC).

  • The article is long enough and was 5x expanded the day before it was nominated. It is neutral in tone, free of plagiarism or close paraphrasing, and well supported with inline citations. QPQ has been done. The hook is interesting and 158 characters long so short enough, and doesn't focus on his negative aspects as such - he does seem unlucky but that's not his fault. @BU Rob13: All the injuries are cited but I have doubts about the hip - the source just says he left practice early because of a "sore hip" and he was a doubtful starter, not that he missed playing time because of an injured hip. Or am I missing something? HazelAB (talk) 20:43, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
  • @HazelAB: The hip injury and back injury were the same. He left practice citing a sore hip, and then that was eventually updated to a back injury and he missed significant time for it. I've removed "hip" from the hook, as we probably can't know whether the hip and back were both injured or the sore hip was misstated/misdiagnosed, and the back was the issue all along. Unfortunately, sports sources are horrible about making those changes clear. ~ RobTalk 20:49, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Good to go as revised. @BU Rob13: Thanks for the quick response! As you say, hard to know what the real story is, but I think it's best to leave the hip out as you have done. HazelAB (talk) 21:00, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
