5x expanded by Orlady (talk). Self nominated at 00:28, 1 March 2014 (UTC).
- Sorry but the expansion started on 23 Feb and was nominated today. Thus it is outside the 5 day window. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 18:30, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- I would have said this was under D9, ""Five days old" limit should be strictly enforced only if there is a large backlog of hooks. Otherwise nominated article may still be approved if it were created or expanded after the oldest date listed in Template talk:Did you know#Older nominations". Thanks, Matty.007 18:44, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for that tolerance. For what it's worth, I initially delayed nominating this one because I thought there might be a possibility of a double hook with Unitia, Tennessee, but that didn't work out. Also, when I added the nomination to the noms page, February 23 was still in the "Current nominations" section. --Orlady (talk) 18:23, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- I have no problem approving a 6-day nomination. 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. I prefer the first hook, and linked African American. Hook ref verified and cited inline. Image is public domain. QPQ done. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 00:28, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
