Hou Zongbin
[edit]- ... that after a riot, Shaanxi Governor Hou Zongbin was targeted by rumours possibly started by his political rivals who resented him as an outsider? Source: The Pro-democracy Protests in China: Reports from the Provinces

- New enough and long enough in expansion. The hook is the most interesting fact germane to Hou's life, is cited and reflected in the citation, and has no copyvio issues. While featured as a recent death (which causes the DYK checker to point to ITN), that is not an impediment to eligibility of this article for DYK. It looks good to me. - Hi, I came by to promote this, but I find the hook wordy rather than hooky. Perhaps it could be tightened, or another hook suggested? Yoninah (talk) 23:50, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: I guess we could shorten it by removing the last part - "who resented him as an outsider", and "Shaanxi" as well. -Zanhe (talk) 23:56, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
