  • Hook is cited with reliable sources and the article does not appear to violate POV rules. The length and time requirements have been met, as the article was created on August 13. There is a tag about the article currently undergoing edits by the Guild of Copy Editors, but that shouldn't be an issue with approving this hook.--12george1 (talk) 15:07, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
@Gryffindor: Looking to promote this, I think the original hook is uninteresting and the ALT1 hook not backed fully by the article. What about ALT2? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:48, 10 September 2017 (UTC)
  • ALT2:... that learning Japanese bamboo weaving involves a lengthy apprenticeship and the skills require at least a decade to fully master?
  • Given the issues raised with both the original hook and ALT1, superseding tick (also fixing ALT2 formatting). BlueMoonset (talk) 23:20, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
  • Thanks for that; only one needed manual fixing. Added the needed inline for ALT2, and approving. Striking ALT0 and ALT1. --Usernameunique (talk) 18:00, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
