LaMelo Ball

[edit]

Created by TempleM (talk). Self-nominated at 21:28, 9 February 2017 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. Image in article is freely licensed. QPQ done. I'm confused by the sourcing for the hook, however. Is this the sentence that the hook fact rests on: In late summer of his freshman season, Ball verbally committed to play college basketball for UCLA? If so, it doesn't accord with the source, which says, It's not often that a prospect commits to a college prior to his freshman year in high school, but despite that rarity LaMelo Ball's pledge to UCLA hardly arrived as a surprise. • As the page creator has not edited on Wikipedia since nominating this article, I'll go ahead and fix it. The information and sourcing is all in the article, but the source was misquoted and the information was put in the wrong place chronologically. I moved his verbal commitment to UCLA at the age of 13 (per the source) up before his high school career. Here is the correct hook:
  • ALT1: ... that LaMelo Ball verbally committed to play basketball for UCLA at age 13?
  • ALT1 hook ref verified and cited inline. Rest of review above. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 20:37, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
