Lucy Islands[edit]

Lucy Island Lighthouse built in 1907
  • ... that a storm on Lucy Island (pictured) unearthed 5,500-year-old remains of a woman whose DNA has been directly linked to a modern-day descendent, a Tsimshian woman living near Prince Rupert?

  • This article is comprehensive, well-written, and utilizes appropriate sources, and is long enough, new enough, and within Wikipedia and DYK policies and guidelines. The free image and the corresponding hook are also both good to go for inclusion in DYK. The hook is a bit long at 190 characters, but still under 200. -- Caponer (talk) 12:50, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
  • The Location section of the article is unsourced, and needs an appropriate citation: the information there is quite specific. It would also be nice to have a bit more support for the short opening paragraph of the Seabirds section, as it's more generalized than the information about individual birds that follows. • It looks like the article's author has added internal citations that specifically address the islands' location detailed in the prose. The "Seabirds" section could definitely use more supporting information per BlueMoonset's suggestion, but this omission isn't a deal breaker for DYK. -- Caponer (talk) 19:41, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Changed photo to recropped version to highlight lighthouse. Article also revised to include First Nations and 19th Century colonial naming of islands. Inline citations of existing government and bird population references added to Location and Seabird sections to address BlueMoonset questions above. Canuckle (talk) 19:45, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
