... that the finalists from Nizi Project debuted in the Japanese girl group NiziU? Source: The Japan Times (article): "Nizi Project began airing on Hulu Japan in January of last year, with JYP’s YouTube channel sharing it internationally. Following a talent survival show template that is common in South Korea, the program saw hundreds of hopefuls attempt to debut in a new Japanese group... The winners — including existing trainees at JYP — formed NiziU..."
ALT1:... that the pendants that the contestants of Nizi Project wore were based on the show's logo? Source: Oricon (article) "プロジェクトの象徴は「Niziペンダント」と、ペンダントトップの「キューブ」です。[The [Nizi] project's symbols are the 'Nizi pendant' and the 'cubes' on the pendant's top.]"
ALT2:... that Nizi Project was also simultaneously broadcast as a documentary titled Nizi no Kake Hashi? Source: Natalie (article) "「虹のかけ橋」は、古坂やJ.Y. Parkが“プロデューサー目線”でオーディションを見守る番組。[Nizi no Kake Hashi is a program where the audience watches over the auditions through Kosaka and J.Y. Park with the 'perspective of the producers.']"
Comment: The reason I picked ALT2 was because that hook was genuinely surprising and insightful to me as someone who had watched the show before. This is definitely useful for someone who might want to get to know about NiziU's beginnings — keep up the good work! –beetricks ~ 💬 · ✉️ 11:55, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
@Beetricks: Thanks for your comment -- but one thing I'd like to point out is that DYK is generally supposed to appeal to people who are not familiar with the show and may have not seen it before. Therefore, I am in some disagreement with rejecting ALT and ALT1 on the basis that you know these facts because you've already seen the show. lullabying (talk) 07:41, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
@Lullabying: hmm... Okay, maybe the first one up could be something — it seems like a simple introduction to NiziU and would get some people interested unlike ALT1. I worry that ALT1 might get less clicks despite giving some insight to the show: I doubt anybody would have the trivia about the pendant on their mind for a read of the article or be intrigued by it too much in my opinion. And if I'm going to support your argument that "DYK is generally supposed to appeal to people who are not familiar with the show and may have not seen it before", ALT2 does seem rather too complex for introducing the show through a DYK entry and just doesn't reach the expected audience. –beetricks ~ 💬 · ✉️ 12:43, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for your comment. I guess it looks like either ALT or ALT2 is fine and I'll leave that up to whoever is closing this nomination, unless someone else steps in. lullabying (talk) 19:45, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
@Lullabying: You're welcome. Also, this is my first time ever trying to review a DYK nomination. So I want to apologise to you if I came off as unprofessional with the comments. —beetricks ~ 💬 · ✉️ 07:57, 13 May 2021 (UTC)
