... that an architect who despised the design of Old College, Aberystwyth(pictured) was fired from working on it amid fears his plans to change it would bankrupt Aberystwyth University?
Overall: @The C of E: - just one comment, the source [3] does not seem to mention Seddon's desire to be more intricate, in fact I read it as the opposite, he hated Ferguson's intricate design? MPJ-US 15:50, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
@MPJ-DK: It says "The eccentric gothic stylings of the building are attributed to Seddon. However, his original design sketches from 1871 show an even more elabourate set of designs which were thankfully never quite seen through" To me, that is saying that he made the building more intricate than it was before he started and had plans to do more but was fired before he got to implement them. Especially given it says that the full plans were "more expensive than he had originally stated". The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 21:18, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
@The C of E: - Alright I can see that interpretation making sense. And I agree "less elaborate" probably cheaper too. Passing it MPJ-US 21:24, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
