Pobre Corazón[edit]

Created/expanded by DivaKnockouts (talk). Self nom at 22:18, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Article: is new enough (created 25 Jan 2013); long enough (2834); appears to be neutral, cites sources and free of plagiarism; is not a BLP (do articles on songs by living recording artists have to conform with BLP guidelines? Whilst I am unsure, I think not). The article needs a copyedit. Issues include "Of the solo tracks on the album is 'Pobre Corazón' by Divino while others include ..." which perhaps should be "Of the solo tracks on the album[,] is 'Pobre Corazón' [is] by Divino[,] while others include ..."
  • Hook: is not cited to any source. The one nearby source (imtonline makes no mention of this song (Pobre Corazón) or artist (Daniel Vazquez alias Divino). Hook needs grammar check. "... as apart of her ..." should be "... as a part of her ..."
  • Other: QPQ done; image license reviewed by Érico Júnior Wouters and confirmed as a valid Flickr license
Prose needs copyedit and hook needs source --Senra (talk) 17:32, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the review. I've addressed the issue you listed above. Any other copyediting needed? Let me know. Hook is now supported a source, FN 3, In Spanish however. This line "... Su balada "Pobre corazón" y la religiosa "Me arrodillo ante Ti". La primera fue incluida en el disco "Sentimientos" de la reguetonera Ivy Queen," translates to "... His balad "Pobre Corazón" and the religious "Me Arrodillo Ante Ti". The former was included on the album "Sentimientos" by the reggaeton artist Ivy Queen". Anything else? — DivaKnockouts 18:05, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
  • Hook grammar still incorrect: OED: apart means "To set aside, put away, remove, separate....". I am still uncomfortable with the hook citation. Your translation does not say that "'Pobre Corazón' was recorded ... for ... Sentimiento"; it says "incluida" which you translate as "included". I take included to mean that Ivy Queen chose the song as a track on her album; not your meaning which seems to be that Divine recorded it [especially] for Ivy Queens album. Consider the alternate (with the grammar fixed too) ...
ALT1: ... that "Pobre Corazón", recorded by Divino, was included on Ivy Queen's Sentimiento as a part of her evolution in reggaetón?"

  • Hmm, you have a point there. Damn, when my web browser refreshed without my knowledge, it erased everything, including the grammar error I had fixed. The ALT hook seems good. — DivaKnockouts 19:07, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
Good to go (with ALT1) but apparently I cannot approve a hook that I suggested so I have opened this up for a further review --Senra (talk) 19:25, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
It seems that you're right. Well, thanks for your initial review. — DivaKnockouts 20:01, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
Date and length OK. The Alt hook is better than the original. Good to go on the ALT1 hook. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 21:08, 16 February 2013 (UTC)
