SS Principessa Mafalda[edit]

The SS Principessa Mafalda

Created/expanded by Ultracobalt (talk). Self nom at 15:04, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

  • I will review this
  • New article, >7500 characters
  • Cited inline
  • I think the image copyrights are okay
  • Hook is short enough and definitely interesting, and cited
  • QPQ satisfied
  • More review to come. Chris857 (talk) 00:53, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
  • I did not detect any copyvio

ISSUES/SUGGESTIONS:

  • "di Riva Trigoso with her sister, the SS Principessa Jolanda" should this maybe be "di Riva Trigoso with her sistership, the SS Principessa Jolanda"? I don't know if there is a preference in the ship world.
  • The ref "In 1926: Living on the Edge of Time" does not seem to cover everything in paragraph 2 of #Early history. (The Louis XVI style and "faded luxury" are verified in that source)
  • Could we have a ref for the first paragraph of #The last voyage and the first paragraph of #Aftermath
  • Could we have a ref at the end of the paragraph that ends "However, panic began to spread among both passengers and crew."

  • Comment - It's a poor hook, too long winded, gives too much away. You just need enough to entice the reader, something like- ALT1: ... that the SS Principessa Mafalda has been dubbed the Italian Titanic? This way, the reader clicks through to find out why it has been so named. - hahnchen 00:58, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

The nominator has not responded in 12 days, despite a talk page request. Giving a little more time because of an apparent editing hiatus from Wikipedia. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:06, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
