[edit]- ... that after Seaman Frank lost his foot to a German raider, he vowed "Do you think I'm going to let them get away with that? Not pygmalion likely!"

- New enough, long enough. Well written - the only quibble I have is that the lede is long and referenced, and this is not necessary - and I found no plagiarism when checking about 3/4 of the sources, and only one bit of overly close paraphrasing, which I believe I have fixed by making "lionized" into a quote. The hook is great. However, it's only actually mentioned in a picture caption. It needs to appear in the text and also be referenced there. And also, this editor appears to have 5 or more past DYK credits; unless some were nominated by other people, tehre's a need for a QPQ review. This nomination template was moved to reflect the new article title, and I had to move it back to be able to review it; it's possible that a QPQ review was done and not yet noted here, perhaps for the same reason. Leaving a note on Green Cardamom's talkpage. Yngvadottir (talk) 19:13, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- I'm OK with the lead section length, and don't mind it being referenced even though it's not required it doesn't hurt since the whole paragraph can be cut and pasted into another article as-is for a overview of the subject. I've copied the quote into the main article with a source. I'll do a review once I figure out how it's done and post here when completed. Green Cardamom (talk) 21:07, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

- QPQ review now done, hook fact now also in article text and referenced. (By the way, the Pathé video has the title "The Seaman who Gave the Postscript".) I thought I had seen somewhere (as a WP guideline, not a DYK one) that captions should not give relevant information that is not also in the article text itself, but I don't find it in the MOS page on captions. Anyway, it's in both places now, article is good to go! Yngvadottir (talk) 19:21, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
- The title is "The Seaman Who Gave The Postscript" (note capitalization). Green Cardamom (talk) 04:09, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
