Sinag (publication)[edit]

Created by Arius1998 (talk). Self-nominated at 04:17, 2 February 2016 (UTC).

  • Length, date ok (should have been filed under Feb 1, but no problem). I removed some sections that were not in encyclopedia style (such as listing of current staff). Close paraphrase not found. It would be necessary to get some references independent of the subject, some of the sourcing is bordering WP:OR. The first reference "Sinag Charter" is published on google docs, thus not WP:RS. In the hook, I'd suggest not repeating 'official' twice. If a source can be found (current one is not WP:RS and constitutes WP:OR) an ALT2 would be ... that Sinag, the official student publication of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in the University of the Philippines Diliman, was revived in 2015? --Soman (talk) 13:35, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Greetings. I believe I have already made some of the modifications suggested, and I agree with the use of ALT2. As for the Google docs, I found no other source for the Sinag Charter at the moment. It is where the former official website directs to for the charter. Please reconsider. Arius1998 (talk) 01:36, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
Hello, sorry for the late feedback. However there is still no non-OR source independent of the subject in the references. --Soman (talk) 09:48, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
This article does not meet the criteria for notability, and I have therefore suggested it should be deleted. To that effect, I have placed a {{prod-nn}} tag on top of the article. That unfortunately means that this DYK has no way forward either.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 22:11, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
This nomination is put on hold while the proposal to delete template is in place. If the article is deleted in a week's time, then this nomination will be closed. If the template is deleted before then, then the review continues (unless an AfD is then started, in which case this stays as it is until the AfD concludes). Once notability, or lack thereof, is established, then the nomination can be continued or concluded as appropriate. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:03, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
Note: now at AfD. Hold continues for at least a week. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:34, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
