Steamer Maxwell
[edit]- ... that future Hockey Hall of Famer Steamer Maxwell's disdain for professional sport caused him to quit playing in 1915 after learning fellow players were getting paid?

- Length, date and hook reference are all OK. Since his achievements are very impressive I would suggest the following Alt Hook with an img (freely licensed) if it is acceptable to the nominator. Alt 1 Hook ... that Steamer Maxwell (pictured) was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in 1988 following induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1962?--Nvvchar. 15:51, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
- I am not opposed to the alt hook, though I personally like the original better. Mostly because I like the contrast against recent events where three North American major leagues have just come off of labour disputes. Something to be said for simpler times! ;) Resolute 14:41, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
- OK. The original Hook is fine then. Can include the img..--Nvvchar. 13:16, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
