Larycia Hawkins
[edit]- ... that Larycia Hawkins, American professor at Wheaton College, was suspended after she wore hijab and made comments regarding Christianity and Islam in December 2015?

- Comment:(1) I've been bold in moving the article to The suspension of Larycia Hawkins as the suspension is notable and not the person suspended. (2) The hook needs to be changed as the college as mentioned in wp:RS has been categoric in stating that the subject's suspension hasn't been related to her choice of headgear and to accommodate the change in title. - Yogesh Khandke: I reverted you per "Bold, revert, discuss" cycle. Please move the page back to its original title until a consensus is formed. Mhhossein (talk) 12:27, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- No issue. I acted in good faith, the incident is notable not the person. Others will judge. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 12:30, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Yogesh Khandke:There's no doubt in your good faith. Can you please move back the template title by now? Btw, I'll consider your suggestion for the hook. Mhhossein (talk) 12:39, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Please feel free to do so, I don't think the move is bad, so don't wish to do so myself. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 12:41, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- Apparently, I can't move it back. I thought you could do it since you are the one who made the move. Mhhossein (talk) 12:48, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, I think admin rights needed to move page back to its old title in this case. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 12:52, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- I have to ping User:BlueMoonset to take care of this (the title of this template has to moved back to the original one). Mhhossein (talk) 20:33, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
- I should point out that once they've been created, DYK nomination templates should never be moved. I see you've done such moves a number of times, Yogesh Khandke, so please stop doing so in future. I think it's how that Open letter nomination from last February got lost. I think it's best to leave the nomination here rather than move it again—I'm not an admin, so any move requiring one is beyond my capabilities—and I've adjusted the DYK nompage links and DYKmake templates to reflect the current name of the template. - I'm sorry. I won't. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 02:43, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

- Full review needed. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:09, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are the main subject of the article and are sufficiently cited. The article seems neutral to me and I do not believe it contains copyright issues. However, at the moment this article does not qualify for DYK because several paragraphs are completely uncited. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:29, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- IMO the fact about "hijab" is an error as has been mentioned in RS, so shouldn't be a part of the hook, the college is quoted as being categoric that the suspension is unrelated to the subject's choice of headgear. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 07:18, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth: Thanks for your review. Besides trimming the article, I tried to add reliable sources where ever needed. Mhhossein (talk) 06:40, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- Citations have been added so this is good to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:55, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
