Wakatobi flowerpecker

[edit]

Male Wakatobi flowerpecker

  • ... that the Wakatobi flowerpecker (pictured) was originally classified as a species in 1903, was changed to a subspecies for unknown reasons, and in 2014 was re-described as a distinct species?

  • The article is long enough and new (created June 6 and nominated June 12). The picture is free and shows up well. There are no disambiguation links. The article cites two online sources several times and the links work. Both sources report the same research findings - one is the PLOS article and the other is a newspaper report about it. The WP article relies pretty heavily on the PLOS article. There are no plagiarism or close paraphrasing issues. The hook fact is intriguing and accurate and cited in the article. QPQ has been done.HazelAB (talk) 23:04, 15 June 2014 (UTC)
