World landscape[edit]

Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Landscape with the Flight into Egypt, 1563, 37.1 × 55.6 cm (14.6 × 21.9 in)

  • ... that 16th-century world landscape paintings showed "an idealized composite of the world taken in at a single Olympian glance", according to Simon Schama?

Created by Johnbod (talk). Self nominated at 02:40, 15 September 2013 (UTC).

  • Well, it's fine length and well sourced, but I fear that (even though it was nominated on the 15th), it might be a bit too old (created on 10th). Could an admin confirm this? Brigade Piron (talk) 16:06, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
2 hours into day 6 should be ok, especially given it is over 17kb (says nom). Johnbod (talk) 17:53, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
Well, as I said, if that is OK, I'm happy to pass it. In every other respect it's great.Brigade Piron (talk) 07:42, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
  • This should not be an issue. If you look at the T:DYK/Q page, you'll see that the "current nomination" section, in white, always consists of the "current" day plus the previous five days. In this case, that would be September 15, plus September 14, 13, 12, 11, and 10. In fact, this was nominated early on the last current day, and could have been nominated 21 hours and 19 minutes later and still have been completely legal. In that case, it's good to go. Apologies for the delay.Brigade Piron (talk) 22:00, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
