Gebishi Railway[edit]

moved from User talk:Useddenim

Hello Useddenim, and thanks for "translating" two Chinese route diagrams from de.wiki! There is no reason whatsoever for the diagram Template:Bisezhai–Shiping Railway to include the Biseshazi-Hekou section, because it is, and has always been part of the original Kunming–Hai Phong Railway, and is properly displayed in the diagram Template:Yunnan–Vietnam Railway RDT already. That section has never been part of the Gebishi Railway (or, specifically, of its Shiping-Bisezhai line). I know that the diagram in the German article for some reason shows that section, but that's obviously German's mistake; their diagram is royally screwed up, if one compares it to actual printed maps, or the route diagrams and templates in the Chinese articles (which also shows lots of smaller, closed, intermediate stations, for most of which we probably don't care).

What the diagram for Template:Bisezhai–Shiping Railway needs to show at Bisezhai instead is the connection with the Kunming-Hekou-Hai Phong mainline. Bisezhai (the eastern end point of the Shiping-Bisezhai line) should be the lowermost point on our diagram, and should show the fact that from there you can travel north (= left on our chart]) toward Kunming, or south (= right on our chart) toward Haikou. When I have time, and learn a bit more of the markup language, I'll try to show that, as well as the line's other features. -- Vmenkov (talk) 23:43, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
