Despair

[edit]

A circular reference is not a reference that goes round in a circle! The rubric must be made clearer. We all know what we mean, it is a reference that ultimately in refers back to itself in a circular manner- but as it stands it sounds lke a reference written on a spinning top, or a merry-go-round. RfC of potential interest

[edit]

An RfC is underway that could affect this template and may therefor be of interest to watchers of this page. The discussion is located at Wikipedia talk:Twinkle#RfC regarding Twinkle maintenance tags that recommend the inclusion of additional sources. Thank you.--John Cline (talk) 05:11, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Missing documentation

[edit]

I've added an {{undocumented}} tag to the documentation for this template because the template takes talk= and section parameters that are not described in the documentation. Their effect and intended usage is not clear. -- Mikeblas (talk) 14:52, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mikeblas, thanks for that. Updated the doc and removed the tag, please see what you think, and restore it if it still needs it. Fyi, section is a parameter value (of positional/unnamed parameter 1), not a parameter. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 02:08, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Woot! Thanks! Looks much better! -- mikeblas (talk) 02:50, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
