  • ALT1:... that Bob Healey (pictured), founder of the Cool Moose Party, ran for Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island in 2010 in order to abolish the office?
  • ALT2:... that the Cool Moose Party, founded by Bob Healey (pictured), was the third-largest political party in Rhode Island from 1994 to 2002? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.74.201.9 (talk) 00:49, 24 October 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT3:... that Cool Moose Party founder Bob Healey (pictured), well-known for his political satire, won his first political election using the slogan "A strange man for a strange job"?
  • Comment: I'm putting in a last-minute nomination before the 7-day expiration date. Is is possible to put this nomination on hold until a public domain photo of Healey can be found? Part of Healey's notoriety is due to his unusual appearance (i.e. long hair, beard, et. al.). I think it'd make a great addition to the main page with the right DYK "hook". • Added pd image to hook. Yoninah (talk) 18:50, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
  • New enough, long enough, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. No QPQ needed for non-self-nomination. According to DYK rules, the hook fact has to be mentioned and sourced in the article. This is not true of hooks 1, 3, and 4. I have since edited the article and added the fact about his appearance, although the source doesn't call his looks "unusual". I think the ALT1 hook is the best hook, and it is verified and cited inline. I tweaked the hook and added the year. ALT1 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 21:01, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
