Mapframe maps?

[edit]

{{Infobox building}} and {{Infobox shopping mall}} have both recently been updated to automatically show dynamic mapframe maps by default. I am proposing to similarly show such maps by default for this template, with the same optional parameters to adjust the size, frame center point, initial zoom level, and marker icon; and to similarly allow the mapframe map to be turned off using |mapframe=no. See Template:Infobox building#Mapframe maps and Template talk:Infobox building#Change to the map parameter so Kartographer works for further information. (FYI: I'm making similar proposal for other buildings infobox templates) - Evad37 [talk] 15:37, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I definitely support usage for restaurants. ɱ (talk) 01:35, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Evad37: With no further comments here, I'd suggest implementing within the current map space on the template, like I see at Template:Infobox restaurant/sandbox, but it looks like that's the manual code - can you update the sandbox/template with the automatic mapframe code? ɱ (talk) 15:55, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Logo not working?

[edit]

Doesn't look like the "logo" parameter is working properly. See St. Lars restaurant and Restaurant Schrøder. Faceless Enemy (talk) 02:22, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The message that appeared at the top of the preview, Warning: St. Lars restaurant is calling Template:Infobox restaurant with more than one value for the "logo" parameter. Only the last value provided will be used. (Help), provided a clue. Only the final instance of a given parameter in any template will be used. I have fixed both articles. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:36, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Get rid of the Rating parameter

[edit]

Why do we have a rating parameter? Restaurants don't have a rating. A restaurant can have 15 different ratings from 15 different sources. It's a wildly arbitrary single number to show. Better to confine ratings to a section in their articles similar to the "Reception" section in film and TV show articles. Largoplazo (talk) 22:20, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Premier ratings from published sources such as Michelin or AAA for example are worth noting, in my opinion. Expandinglight5 (talk) 02:50, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Head Sommelier

[edit]

Comments on having "head sommelier" in addition to chef and pastry-chef as key members of the restaurant? Expandinglight5 (talk) 02:51, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
