Tir (Persian: تیر, Persian pronunciation: [tiːɾ][1]) is the fourth month of the Iranian calendar.[1] It begins in June and ends in July of the Gregorian calendar[citation needed]. Tir has thirty-one days,[1] spanning June and July in the Gregorian calendar[citation needed].

Tir is the first month of summer, and is followed by Mordad.[1]
