The U.S Post Office in Port Angeles, Washington was built in 1931-1933. A Post Office had been established in Port Angeles since 1860, but had no permanent home and moved several times. The land for the Post Office and Federal building was originally occupied by a squatter for whom the city raised funds to build a new house at a different location. The cost of the building was $124,807. Since 1933, Port Angeles has constructed a new Post Office in which all mail is now processed today.
