Upper Halliford railway station is immediately north of the border of Upper Halliford in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, England. It is 17 miles 34 chains (28.0 km) down the line from London Waterloo.

The station and all trains serving it are operated by South Western Railway.

History

Upper Halliford Halt was opened on 1 May 1944 by the Southern Railway to serve a nearby wartime factory of the British Thermostat Company. The second platform was opened on 6 May 1946.[1]

The platforms are linked by a footbridge. The station building is only used for maintenance so a ticket machine is provided. Footpaths link the station entrance to both Upper Halliford Road (A244, leading to Upper Halliford village) and Nursery Road (towards Sunbury-on-Thames).

Services

The weekday off-peak service from the station is:

From Monday to Friday, four additional early morning rush-hour trains to Waterloo are routed via Twickenham and Richmond. Three additional evening rush-hour trains from Waterloo arrive via that route.

The Saturday service is as on other weekdays, without the extra services routed via Twickenham. On Sundays, services are hourly, but start later and finish earlier than on weekdays.[2]
