Lane End Primary School is a co-educational public primary school located in the village of Lane End in Buckinghamshire, England. It's address is 2 Edmonds Rd, Lane End, High Wycombe HP14 3EJ. The school was founded in 1874 and has since been providing high-quality education to children in the local area. The school has a strong reputation for its commitment to academic excellence, pastoral care, and inclusion. Its staff is highly qualified and experienced, and the school has modern facilities and a range of extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience of its pupils. Lane End Primary School is also committed to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness among its pupils and has been awarded the Eco-Schools Green Flag award. The school has received the Stonewall School Champion Award for its work to create a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ pupils and staff. The school is an integral part of the local community, with a strong focus on building strong relationships between the school, parents, and the wider community.

Lane End Primary school has a total pupil capacity of 210, with 151 current students[1] and teaches an age range of 2-11 year olds. Ofsted have rated Lane End Primary school 6 times since its opening.[3] These inspections were on 27th November 2000, 13th October 2005, 26th November 2008, 19th March 2012, 01st April 2014 and 28th February 2018.[4]

Out of the 6 current Ofsted reports, Lane End Primary school was found "good" 4 times, satisfactory 1 time and was not given a rating once. The dates in which the inspections of the school found the school good were: 13th October 2005, 26th November 2008, 1st April 2014 and 28th February 2018. The date the inspection found the school satisfactory was 19th March 2012; and the earlies date of inspection, which gave the school no rating was 27th November 2000.[5]

Lane End Primary School has a range of modern facilities designed to support the learning and development of its pupils. Lane End Primary School is situated on three acres of land and features two playgrounds, a field and multiple grassy spaces.The school has a nursery, which looks after children from the ages of 2-4; 7 spacious classrooms, which are equipped for teaching students throughout the years; a refurbished learning cafe, which was opened on 15 May 2017; a well-stocked library, a dedicated computer room, and a sports hall. The school also has a large outdoor playground, which includes a playing field, a basketball court, and a climbing frame.

The school also has large multiple natural areas, such as a field, meadow, multiple trees, a pond and outdoor seating availability.

As well as this, Lane End Community Centre is situated on the school grounds in a joined building.

History

Over the years, the school has undergone several changes, including the addition of new buildings and the expansion of its facilities. Despite these changes, the school has remained committed to providing a high-quality education to its pupils.
