Angela Jonsson is a model-turned actor who shot to fame after she won the Kingfisher Calendar Model Hunt in 2011.
Personal life[edit]
She was born in Chennai, India on November 15, 1990. Her father is from Iceland, while her mother hails from Mangalore[4] and has six sisters and three brothers. Her parents are coffee exporters.[5] She spent her childhood in an estate on the mountains of Kodaikanal and studied in the American School there.[6] She cannot speak any Indian language.[5] She admitted to have dated actor Ranbir Kapoor in early 2011in an interview.[7][8]
Career[edit]
She modeled for the Kingfisher Calendar in 2011 and judged the Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt 2012.[9][10] She has been taking Hindi diction and dance lessons to begin her career as an actor in Bollywood and the south Indian film industry.[5][11][12]
It has been reported that she has signed an exclusive contract with Salman Khan's home production for three movies,[13] and a contract with Sajid Nadiadwala’s film company.[2]
She was voted one of Times 50 Most Desirable Women in India in 2011.[14]
