Mateom28 is my username.

My name is Mateo and I am a Croatian Canadian born in and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.

My parents immigrated from Hercegovina to Canada when they were 20 years old, and then had me. That is why Croatian was my first language, and I know a lot of Bosnian I learned English when I was 4, before going to school. In school, I learned Spanish through all of high school and completed a DELE test at a B1 level.

I have completed a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Alberta, and currently am teaching in the Edmonton Catholic Schools district.
