21 February 2007

Following 71.218.50.181's vandalism/personal attacks (18:21) on the talk page of 65.4.212.174 who had just been warned for vandalism, I reverted the vandalism on the talk page, and at the same time left a uw-npa3 warning for the user incorrectly placing it on the talk page of 65.4.212.174. (18:40)

(20:12) 71.218.50.181 replied to my warning with more vandalism/personal attacks, this time directed at me, this time calling me a poopy pants.

(20:38) I undid the vandalism, an my edit summary said I was going to AIV, but I didn't, because I realized that while 71.218.50.181 had clearly seen my warning, I'd left it on the wrong talk page.

(20:52) Upon realizing that, I removed the warning that should have gone on 71.218.50.181's talk page, and placed the warning I'd meant to leave 65.4.212.174 instead, a uw-vandalism3 warning.

(21:00) I then went to 71.218.50.181's talk page and left a uw-npa3 warning modified to include the diffs of calling users poopy pants.

(23:10) In response, 71.218.50.181 came to my talk page and warned me (he used the exclamation point from the warning symbol) to "stop getting bent out of shape over talk pages for IP address".

26 February

(23:02) I replied to him, explaining that he got warned because he called users poopy pants and that that was considered a personal attack.

05 March

(06:41) User 67.176.15.127, replied, saying that my pants were "woefully full of poop", "physically, spiritually or metaphorically are full of poop", and used other similar language to IP 71.218.50.181 such as "nit-picky, pedantic, and often incorrect".

(06:41) Dark Ermac reverted 67.176.15.127's comment with the edit summary, "lol, removed".

06 March

At this point, I reported (13:31) both 67.176.15.127 and 71.218.50.181 to AIV, on the basis that one was a sockpuppet of the other, but my request was removed (13:48) by admin Merope, on the basis that there were no recent vandalism edits.

Rlevse left me a note (13:55) on my talk page telling me this and advising that I report vandalism sooner to AIV and I replied. (14:00)

(14:31) I reposted at AIV more clearly, emphasising that while I was providing diffs to old edits, the most recent vandalism had occured the day before, and the previous edits were to show that the same person was editing with both IPs.

(14:34) Editor J Di removed the request with the following explanation, "IPs have made few edits today and may be dynamic."

Rlevse blocked 67.176.15.127 at (13:48) and blocked 71.218.50.181 at (13:50) for 48 hours for, "personal attacks, blatant, vio user pages", but then lifted both blocks minutes later (13:53), with the edit summary, "my error, vandalism quite old". This was 31 hours after the most recent vandalism.

(21:29) Less than eight hours later, 71.218.50.181 came back to my talk page again, [1]. This edit restored 67.176.15.127's vandalism, and vandalised my page again, "you have more poop in your pants".

(21:30) Ryulong reverted the vandalism.

Please stop getting bent out of shape over talk pages for IP address

... and if you do be sure you know what's going on before you do. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a place to get worked up and get all nit-picky and pedantic about stuff. Take a chill pill, and get out of my grill. -- 71.218.50.181 07:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

You received a template warning on your talk page because of your recent edits. It is unacceptable to call other users "poopie pants", and I don't have to know what's going on on the talk page in order to warn you about personally attacking other users. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and it would be great if you'd like to contribute to it, however, and this was your first edit that was not blatant vandalism to another user's talk page, and neither vandalism nor personal attacks are tolerated here. I am pleased that you have moved from vandalism and calling editors poopy pants, but that being said, your comment on my talk page is also considered a personal attack; you've calling me "nit-picky" and "pedantic" and told me to "take a chill pill" and get out of your "grill". In the future, please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Miss Mondegreen | Talk   07:02, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
I am not aware of wikipedia guidelines regarding poopie pants, though I'm pretty sure there is at least implicit consensus that having them is not good. I am also pretty sure that somehow your pants, physically, spiritually or metaphorically are full of poop. The only reason that you consider comments like this to be personal attacks is because your pants are so woefully full of poop (in one of the aforementioned modalities). Your contributions to User:71.218.50.181's talk page, and to every page I've seen you comment on, are still nit-picky, pedantic, and often incorrect. Just because you know how to use an image with an exclamation point and speak with a condescending authoritarian tone doesn't mean that you're special or that you run wikipedia or that you have the right to be a poopie pants. It just means that you're mean and get bent out of shape over comments made on talk pages for IPs. Fortunately, wikipedia provides information on several resources that maybe able to help you such as anger management, meditation, yoga, tea, classical music, antidepressants, Benzodiazepines and poop (which may lead you to pages with information useful for removing it from your pants). You're not the boss of me. -- 67.176.15.127 14:41, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Vandals

Next time the two anons bother you or your page with vandalism, report right away to AIV. The incidents you cited were weeks old and another admin removed them from AIV. Rlevse 21:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

The first comment didn't qualify as outright vandalism so I didn't report. The second comment did, and as you can see, I've been away. Also, that final comment was made on the fifth, which is yesterday. The incident started--(comments on another user's talk page) two weeks ago, and since there were no previous warnings, I warned instead of reporting right away. Doing it again, RECENTLY is what I went to AIV for. I'll repost now, explaining that. Miss Mondegreen | Talk   22:00, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Here's something for you to report -- you have more poop in your pants. Vandals are people who disrupt wikipedia, like people who get bent out of shape over comments made on talk pages for IP address, rather than focusing on something... Important. They write condescending comments and put images of exclamation points in them and avoid communicating with other people like they're people, instead they use an impersonal language of template-style warnings sent like notices from bill collectors (who would, hypothetically also have poopie pants). You may feel like you're being very noble by reporting this kind of comments to AIV, and that when someone communicates with you in a way that you're not familiarly with or that makes you uncomfortable that it's "vandalism" and "personal attacks." But it's really not, it's just an emerging bureaucratic culture preventing wikipedia from becoming a true form of social networking and collaboration. Anyway, go ahead, go nuts, pick on people different from you and have me banned. Just remember it has nothing to do with vandalism and everything to do with Ethnocentrism and The Trial by Franz Kafka. xoxoxoxoxo. 71.218.50.181 05:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
