From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Freeletics is a bodyweight exercise–only sport in the fashion of CrossFit and Just 6 Weeks, as well as the name of its Munich-based parent company and the app regulating its fitness workouts.[1][2]

The app offers high-intensity bodyweight workout programs with video tutorials for personal training, and motivational materials, such as comparing one's personal bests with other socially networked athletes.[3][4][5] The 15-week program includes training modules named after Greek gods, such as Aphrodite, Hades, Iris, Poseidon, Venus, and Zeus; a typical series is 3 reps each consisting of 50 burpees, 50 situps, and 50 squats, in minimal time.[1] Freeletics has approximately 500,000 users, a growing Facebook group, and local trainers.[1]
