Macro-curriculum (Polish: Makrokierunek) - a course of studies at university colleges, whose programme combines two, or more traditional fields of studies (in human or technical sciences), or in which basics for more than one scientific discipline are taught, giving a student the possibility to choose one of the disciplines later-on as the ultimate diploma curriculum.
The aim for creating macro-curricula is to educate specialists with interdisciplinary knowledge and on the other hand – enabling the choice of a more specialised field of studies, after being introduced to multiple disciplines of science or technology.

A 1st level macro-curriculum can be organised by faculties that are entitled to run Master’s Degree studies on every course, of which this given macro-curriculum consists. A macro-curriculum at the 2nd level can be organised by faculties entitled to run Master’s Degree studies on every course, upon which the macro-curriculum is based, and additionaly – entitled to run 3rd level (doctoral, i.e. post-graduate) studies.
