History

In the year 2006, Komal Talwar [1] laid the foundation of TT Consultants in Chandigarh, India, with just one employee support. Today she is recognized as one of the top women achievers of India [2]. With her guidance and continuous efforts, it was in the year 2008 when the Company finally signed off its first major Client Association. And since then, there has been no looking back.

The Year 2010 proved to be a big year for the company with the commencement of its first Business Center overseas in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Currently, Mr. Pratish Bisht heads the branch here, along Mr. Gorden Chen, who is working as a Senior Patent Research Analyst. TT Consultants in Taiwan proffers patent services including Prior Art Search, Patent Drafting, Competitor Monitoring, Patent Translations, etc.

In the very next year, 2011, the Company took a major turn and commenced it’s yet another Business Center at Washington D.C, USA. Dr. Nirmal Basi (ex-USPTO Examiner) has been heading the center as the Director of Marketing (USA) and has been making continuous efforts to build a huge clientele in the USA.

The expansion continued with initiation of the branch office in Gurgaon, India in the year 2013. Today, TT Consultants, is one of the renowned and leading Patent and Analytic Service Providers in India. It has been rated as the Top Company in Patent Searches in India in an evaluation conducted by a sub group of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). The report published in May 2015 was based upon an open evaluation of about 30 companies wherein they were given a few searches to run. The report is titled 'Evaluation of patent research companies in India'[3] and is available on the JETRO website. With respect to searching, it exhibited awareness for quality control such as using the right search databases depending on the technological domain, used multiple international databases including PAJ for Japanese patent search and the searching formula was a combination of keyword and patent categories so as to make it an exhaustive search. This is an affirmation of the commitment to quality and efforts that go into client satisfaction, hiring, training and databases.

In 2015, the company expanded its corporate headquarters situated in Mohali (India). The company is planning to open another Business Center in San Francisco (USA). It is expected to be inaugurated in 2016.

TT Consultants are perhaps the only Indian company with offices in Far East with native Chinese, Japanese and an in-house Ex-USPTO Examiners.

  4. TT Consultants also participated in the Start Tel Aviv-India Finals [7] – a five day event that took place at Delhi in 2015.
  5. In the year 2014, Punjab based Taleem India [8] signed a memorandum with TT Consultants to set up Centres for Media Studies and Intellectual Property Rights.

XLPAT Lab

In the year 2014, the company launched a unique Patent Monitoring Cloud Platform named "XLPAT" [10]. XLPAT is a tool developed by TT Consultants having a bunch of applications for automations in patent search & analysis. The tool is designed using advanced technologies like Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Watson by IBM and Search Intelligence. It offers solutions like Patent and Non-Patent Database Search, Automated Invalidation and Patentability Search Solutions, Competitive Technology analysis, Patent Alerts, US PAIR tracking etc. XLPAT-Labs was declared as the Winner in the "IBM GEP SmartCamp 2015"[11], New Delhi as the Top 5 disruptive and Innovative Technology.
