Lee Sojung (born September 3, 1993), better known by the mononym Sojung, is a South Korean idol singer and member of the k-pop girl group Ladies' Code under Polaris Entertainment.

Career

With Ladies Code

Sojung began her career as a contestant on The Voice of Korea Shortly after, signed with Polaris Entertainment as a part of RiSe's girl group.[1] The group was later revealed as Ladies' Code. A teaser for the song Bad Girl was released a month before Ladies' Code debut; The teaser featured Sojung with a flamethrower.[2]

In 2016, Sojung was featured on the Jung Key song, "I Don't Want"[3][4][5]

Personal life

Sojung revealed her battle with anorexia on an episode of SBS’ Incarnation. She weighed 49 kg (roughly 108 lbs) while on The Voice of Korea but went as low as 38 kg (roughly 83 lbs). She stated that she wouldn't eat but drink water all day, though she did eat five cherry tomatoes for 2–3 days at one point in her diet. She didn't receive her period for over a year because of her anorexia. However, Sojung has started to gain weight and is recovering.[11]
