Christoph Trattner (born February 4, 1980) is an Austrian Information Scientist and researcher in Artificial Intelligence. He is a professor at University of Bergen and the Director for SFI MediaFutures, a centre for responsible media technologies and innovation financed with 280 million NOK by the Research Council of Norway[1]. Trattner is the founder and leader of DARS Researchgroup and Professor I at the department of Health & Social Sciences at NORCE.[2] He is also an external lecturer at Modul University Vienna [3].

Education and Career[edit]

Trattner received his Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and Doctorate in Informatics and Telematics from Technische Universität Graz[3]. He is a senior member of Association for Computing Machinery[4] and a previous Research fellow at Austrian Research Promotion Agency and European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERICM)[5]. Trattner previously worked at Technische Universität Graz from 2009-2012, University of Pittsburgh from 2011-2012 and Norwegian University of Science and Technology from 2014-2015[3].

Research[edit]

Trattner specialises in Behavioral analytics and Recommender systems[3]. So far in his career he has published over 150 scientific articles[6], and have published in, among others, Nature's Nature Sustainability[7], JASIST [8], EPJ [9], UMUAI [10], AAAI's International Conference on Web and Social Media (ICWSM)[11] and ACM Special Interest Group on Information Retrieval[12].
