RAHMOO

Rahmoo (or often called as ROMU) is village and a notified area six (6) kilometres to the west from district town Pulwama of Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of major and largest village, area wise as well as population wise in the district. It is located 28 kilometres away from summer capital Srinagar. Rahmoo is situated 5922 ft above the sea level.

As per census of 2011 population of Rahmoo stands at 5030, with 2603 males and 2427 females. Population of people under the age of 6 in Rahmoo is 764, which is 15.19% of total population of the village. Average Sex Ratio of Rahmoo village is 932 and child Sex Ratio of the Rahmoo as per census of 2011 is 863. In 2011, literacy rate of Rahmoo village was 39.85% in which male literacy stands at 47.61% while female literacy rate stands at 31.64%.
