Mark Joseph Stern (born May 24, 1987 in Tallahassee, Florida) is a senior writer covering courts and the law for Slate Magazine.[1] His areas of expertise include LGBTQ+ equality, reproductive rights, criminal justice, and The Supreme Court.[2] His areas of expertise include LGBTQ+ equality, reproductive rights, criminal justice, and Supreme Court jurisprudence.

He has co-authored many law review articles about free speech, gay rights, and transgender equality.
