Aluk Todolo is a French band, originally from Grenoble, formed in 2004 by Antoine Hadjioannou (drums), Matthieu Canaguier (bass) and Shantidas Riedacker (guitar). The name Aluk Todolo comes from a mountainous region in South Sulawesi Island in Indonesia, it can be translated as "the way of the ancestors" or "the ancient beliefs". It designates a pre-Christian animist cult surviving in this region of the world.
Since his debut Aluk Todolo has performed regularly on stage, in France and abroad. Their concerts are lit by a single bulb, connected to the signal from the guitar.
