Early life[edit]

Sourav Ray, popularly known as Gravero, was born on September 9, 2002, into a Bengali-Hindu family in Kolkata. However, shortly after his birth, his parents moved to Delhi, where he spent 11 years of his life. Eventually, he relocated back to Kolkata, where he currently resides.

Career[edit]

Gravero's ability to create captivating songs has catapulted him to internet stardom. His passion for music ignited at the age of 16, inspired by the mesmerizing Tomorrowland sets of Hardwell and Martin Garrix. It was during this time that he embarked on his music production journey, honing his skills on the digital audio workstation (DAW) known as "Fruity Loops."[3] Gravero experienced a significant surge in recognition after uploading a viral mashup of "Let Me Down Slowly" and "Mai Dhoondne ko zamane me." The mashup quickly gained traction, with even the artist Alec Benjamin himself appreciating and commenting on the video.[4] Another notable achievement was when Gravero created a mashup of Sam Smith's "Unholy" with "Kehna Hi Kya," which Sam Smith himself shared on his stories [5]. These accomplishments propelled Gravero's popularity, as his infectious mashups and captivating edits received immense love from both creators and audiences alike. Currently, industry giants are taking notice of Gravero, as his mashups and Lofi edits a mass millions of views on platforms like YouTube and Instagram [6]. His distinctive style and unwavering dedication continue to enthrall global audiences, solidifying his position as an artist to watch. Gravero's original tracks have also garnered significant recognition, exemplified by the success of songs like "Kitaab" [7] with Happy Pills and Dikshant, as well as "Aasmaan" with Dikshant [8]. These originals have resonated deeply with his audience, leading to millions of streams on various streaming platforms. The overwhelming love and support for Gravero's original music further solidify his status as a highly talented and influential artist in the industry.
