TheTekkitRealm (Dallas Korol) (born November 5, 2000[3]) is an American Youtuber, filmmaker and author, who is best known for gaming, and entertainment video content on the YouTube channel TheTekkitRealm. Dallas has also published two books, one a Novel, and an educational E-book The 20th Parallel, and The Almost Complete Somewhat Accurate Guide on How to be a YouTuber since 2017.

TheTekkitRealm[edit]

TheTekkitRealm was originally started in 2015 by Dallas and one of his classmates as a school web design project, of which purpose was to be a video hosting platform similar to that of YouTube.[4] Later on, TheTekkitRealm's YouTube channel was started and first was known for it's Gaming Short films that were posted.[5] TheTekkitRealm later gained publicity through its YouTube channel and it's many viral videos and live streams, some of which landed media attention some years later due to some of the world record style content that was posted.[6] TheTekkitRealm is also well known for it's web content, such as offering partnerships for YouTube channels,[7] online products,[8] and Dallas' books, of which 50% of the revenue is donated to fan voted charities. TheTekkitRealm's official slogan is; Your daily dose of entertainment.[9]

Career[edit]

Dallas Korol has been actively making videos and online content since 2012, and has been involved in multiple software development projects since his time in highschool.[10] One of which, being TheTekkitRealm's Appstore mobile app known as TheTekkitRealm Entertainment.[11]

Since 2015, Dallas has been producing videos on TheTekkitRealm's YouTube channel, and has garnered hundreds of videos along with million's of monthly views to go along with them.[12] Along with that, Dallas' had engaged in a career of writing and has two published books, The 20th Parallel, and The Almost Complete Somewhat Accurate Guide on How to be a YouTuber.[13] In November 2018, TheTekkitRealm started it's first ever YouTube live stream, of which featured the notorious PewDiePie vs T-Series subscriber battle.[14] This led to arguably the first big break of TheTekkitRealm's channel in terms of virality, resulting in the live stream trend to catapult Dallas' channel in late 2018.[15] This would be what paved the way to future world record attempts and achievements that TheTekkitRealm would pursue.

On May 24, 2019, TheTekkitRealm hosted a live video about the popular infinite runner game Subway Surfers, which soon rose to infamy as a new concept of a 1 year live stream.[16] This went on to get global attention and multiple media sources following the 1 year process.[17][18]

He has recorded podcasts with Zach King on YouTube topics such as Attention People, which was released in November 2018, in which he discussed his view on the YouTube Algorithm,[19] stating; I now have to upload a more specific brand of content to continue growing and can be quite demotivating how only "red arrows" and clickbait seem to attract attention nowadays. Thus branding the "Not Clickbait" inside joke of the channel.

TheTekkitRealm has also produced documentary style movies on it's channel, most noteably THE RAID - Official Area 51 Documentary, which was a documentative film about the famous Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us facebook event.[20]

On February 8, 2018, TheTekkitRealm uploaded a 22 minute long video titled "(WORLD RECORD) - Growing my YouTube Channel to 1000 Subscribers in 4 days " onto his main channel. The video was a world record attempt at gaining 1,000 YouTube subscribers in the fastest time naturally after starting a channel. TheTekkitRealm kept the record until April 2019, when another YouTube channel called "Larry" beat the record at 27,000 subscribers in its first week.[21] TheTekkitRealm however, quickly regained the record by achieving 1,000 subscribers in the first 24 hours of a new channel.[22]

Raising Money[edit]

TheTekkitRealm has raised over $100,000 dollars to multiple charities, through the fan funding of it's website.[23] Dallas has stated that the main goal of TheTekkitRealm.com is to raise money for fan voted charities, primarily the American Cancer Society.

Opinions[edit]

Dallas is a heavy critic of proposals to end Net Neutrality along with Article 13, and has dedicated multiple videos to discuss the result of what would happen if internet freedom was abolished, and what effect it would have on the average consumer.[24][25]
