Danilo Gatete Yves Jr ( Danilo Gatete ) is a professional footballer who plays as a left and right winge for the New England Revolution DA. Born in Sao pualo to a Rwandese and congolese parents, Danilo obtained United States citizenship through naturalization and is eligible to represent USA internationally.

Early and personal life
Born in Sao Pualo, Danilo moved to Canada, Sherbrooke with his family at the age of six, after an outstanding youth season in Santos.
His father is ex-footballer Jimmy Gatete, who is from Rwanda, Kigali. After immigrating to Portugal, he set up some teams in the lower leagues. There, he read a story of the Andalusian town Marinaleda, a self-declared communist utopia located near Seville, that was offering work to immigrants. After begging for food on the streets of Marinaleda, he met the mayor Juan Manuel Sánchez Gordillo and found a job as a driver. He then settled in the nearby town of Herrera,Then after 2 years traveled to Canada where Danilo spent most of his childhood and started his football training.
