Information icon Hello, I'm DuncanHill. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Oliver Goldsmith have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. DuncanHill (talk) 23:28, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome! And thanks for seeking to help. But you must work in line with the existing scholarship - for example, what is spoken and written in Ireland is English, and the term Hiberno-English, while useful, does not represent a separate "Irish English" but something more complex in meaning - there are in fact multiple forms. Likewise "Anglo Irish" in literature has a distinct meaning, and style, and a vast amount of academic work done on it. At any rate, whatever the detail, if you want to make changes, especially to major topic articles, as on Irish literature, you must bring references to support your point; Wikipedia is not for original research.
