September 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Buckethead has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Welcome[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Lcawte (talk) 08:26, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

December 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Bon Jovi. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. February 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Hard Rock, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 猛禽22 00:40, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Hard rock, you will be blocked from editing. F-22 RaptorAces High 06:07, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from changing music genres without providing a source and without establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Continued genre changes to suit your own point of view may result in a block. Thank you. Doc9871 (talk) 07:20, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Enough with the POV editing[edit]

Use the talk page and prove your points with sources before actually making the edits.--F-22 RaptörAces High 08:29, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree there is years of consensus on what should be in info boxes. Nearly every edit you have made has been undone by multiple editors, please stop and discuss any changes you want to make from now on. If something is not listed in an info box there is usually a reason for it. Ridernyc (talk) 08:37, 7 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Use the talk page, or provide a reason for your editing, because consensus is against you. I am not going to say this again.--F-22 RaptörAces High 06:53, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or mail unblock-en-l@mail.wikimedia.org. Daniel Case (talk) 14:30, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month to prevent further disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

The complete report of this case is at WP:AN3#User:174.6.80.110 reported by User:Ridernyc (Result: 1 month). You have been changing music genres in articles for at least six weeks, without ever trying to get consensus, and reverting others when they change your decision. You never participate on Talk pages. You may be unblocked if you agree to follow consensus and will wait for support before changing music genres. EdJohnston (talk) 21:36, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

April 2010[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Hard rock. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Have you not learned anything from your block? You're not going to get your way if you continue to add and alter information in infoboxes without consensus. You'll just get reverted and end up getting blocked even longer.--F-22 RaptörAces High 06:40, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
