Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made on Deepak Chopra. I greatly appreciate your constructive edits on Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- How to create your first article (using the Article Wizard if you wish)
- Simplified Manual of Style
- Recent changes patrol
You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits, such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (180.210.208.246) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page.

[edit]Hello, I'm Thewinrat. I noticed that you recently removed content from Early Muslim conquests without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. - If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
The extensive CN tags recently added to the lead section of the article, Merchant have been reverted (manually due to intervening edits). Please note that “Cn” (Citation needed) tags are not required in the lead section of a well-sourced article. Even when an editor believes that an article is poorly sourced, it is preferable to add a “Refimprove” template to the entire article rather than pepper the lead with “cn” tags.
In addition, it is not necessary to wikilink every term or concept in an article – these are used primarily for concepts that may be unfamiliar to users and which add substantially to an understanding of the article’s subject matter. Red links should only be created when there is a reasonable prospect of a new article being created in the near future. The article, merchant is well-sourced, and all of the facts in the lead are canvassed in the main body, where appropriate references can be found. There is simply no need to add cn tags to the lead. For details, see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citing_sources (especially when not to add tags) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Citation_needed_lead (details on cn tags and templates) 175.32.56.121 (talk) 02:39, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

[edit] Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles.[1] Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. El_C 06:08, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
On closer examination, I feel less confident about undoing your changes, so I have self-reverted. Sorry for any inconvenience. El_C 06:20, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not make pointless changes to white space that have no effect on the rendered page, as you did in this edit to National Rifle Association, this one at William Fitzherbert, this one at Bikaner state, or this one at Joseph I of Portugal. This can be viewed as disruptive. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 07:54, 14 November 2019 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
