[edit]Hello, I'm Sitush. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Bal Thackeray without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Sitush (talk) 20:11, 12 December 2012 (UTC)

Bal Thackeray
[edit]Why is the Deccan Chronicle figure of 500,000 at Bal Thackeray a "prejudiced opinion", as you claim in your edit summary? And did you actually read the source that said "nearly 2 million"? It most definitely does not say it was 2 million. I think that if you wish to pursue this then you'll need to open a discussion at Talk:Bal Thackeray. - Sitush (talk) 20:28, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- I've replaced the link that you say was not working wherever it is that you are. Now please do not revert that information again without discussion. The article is prone to "fanboy"-type contributions and has only recently come off semi-protection. If you edit war then it is likely that you will be bloxked from contributing. Much better to discuss any remaining concerns that you may have on the talk page, don't you think? - Sitush (talk) 22:04, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- By the way, how did you come to the conclusion that the Deccan Chronicle source was a "prejudiced opinion" if you could not even see it? - Sitush (talk) 22:05, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Sitush,
- Anyone who witnessed the event in person or otherwise can tell that the crowd was in millions, infact 2 million is a conservative estimate ( could be 4 million or more if we inlclude ppl who came out from Bandra west to Dadar ) ; 500,000 is ridiculous. It smells prejudice. Infact the most conservative estimate of the Mumbai police is 2 million.
- BTW even in your link the number mentioned is 1 million ( no 500 k) .

Your recent editing history at Bal Thackeray shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Sitush (talk) 22:48, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
