Jim Larrañaga

[edit]

Please, stop reverting my edits to the head coaching record table at Jim Larrañaga. You are breaking standard formatting being applied to all of these tables on many hundreds of coaching bio articles. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 19:47, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do you plan to discuss this issue before making further reverts? Jweiss11 (talk) 23:16, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You need to start discussing these edits or this IP address may end up getting blocked. Also, your edits to the schedule tables at articles like 1968 Miami Hurricanes football team, while productive in part, contain some systematic problems. You don't need to wikilink stadiums or cities every time they appears in the table, just the first time. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 17:45, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Did you discuss it when you (or somebody) decided to make this stupid change? And it's not standard formatting since at least two other coaches in the ACC don't have that silly Division I nonsense, either. And, yes, the city and stadiums need to be link because (1) it looks dumb otherwise and (2) viewers are forced to scroll, sometimes, in order to find a link that they want to access. 204.144.3.1 (talk) 17:50, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I've been actively discussing formatting with other editors for ten years. If you have an issue with standard formatting, I would bring it up a relevant WikiProject like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football or Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College Basketball. Jweiss11 (talk) 17:58, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's not standard so I'm going to keep doing it the better way.
Please see the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject College football#IP edits on Miami season articles. Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 21:19, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
