[edit]Hello, I'm Neveselbert. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Christine Keeler, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 19:24, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm SNUGGUMS. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Peter Farquhar, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. [edit]Hi, and thanks for your efforts to improve Wikipedia. However, many articles are not written in American English. It'd be appreciated if you would check before editing for language style that the article in question is actually about an American subject; if it is not, it will be best to leave its diction to editors familiar with the other variants of English. Hello, I'm Ternera. I noticed that you recently removed content from Abdulaziz bin Bandar Al Saud without adequately explaining why. Thanks. - @Egeymi:, @Chiswick Chap:, @Ternera:, same problems keep occurring with this IP. Editor refuses to cooperate or behave constructively, is constantly engaged in edit warring. Can somebody please push for an IP block? Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 13:32, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
Please stop changing every occurrence of “age of” to “aged” in Matthew Perry. The article is tagged for American English, and you keep introducing British English phrasing despite requests to stop. Please respect MOS:ENGVAR and MOS:ARTCON and read Comparison_of_American_and_British_English#Word_derivation_and_compounds for guidance on differences between the two. --Celjski Grad
- Hi @Martinevans123:, thank you for leaving the message on my talk page. I thought I'd respond here seeing as other users have already raised this issue. From what I can see, there are at least three IPs on the range: 38.95.13.133, as well as [1], and [2]. The geolocate gives us a location of Tampa, Florida, but I do believe this user is using a VPN. The editing patterns are very similar to that of a past banned user who has re-emerged time and time again. These behavioural patterns include, but are not limited to religiously changing "at the age of" to "aged" (even on U.S. subject articles where that is an incorrect use of U.S. English), as well as the editing of subjects related to British soap operas and LGBT-related topics. That user was User:WelshDragon18 (see also Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/WelshDragon18/Archive). Another of their alt accounts was User:Susan1621. I'm going to tag @Knuthove:, @Bbb23: and @RoySmith: who dealt with the last sockpuppet investigation on this case. I'm not quite sure what the protocol is when an IP that is likely VPN generated is being used? Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 20:13, 9 December 2023 (UTC)

[edit]We recommend that you attempt to use another connection to edit. For example, if you use a proxy or VPN to connect to the internet, turn it off when editing Wikipedia. If you edit using a mobile connection, try using a Wi-Fi connection, and vice versa. If you are using a corporate internet connection, switch to a different Wi-Fi network. If you have a Wikipedia account, please log in.
If you do not have any other way to edit Wikipedia, you will need to request an IP block exemption.
{{unblock|reason=Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is _______. Place any further information here. ~~~~}}
. You must fill in the blank with your IP address for this block to be investigated. Your IP address can be determined here. Alternatively, if you wish to keep your IP address private you can use the unblock ticket request system. There are several reasons you might be editing using the IP address of a web host (such as if you are using VPN software or a business network); please use this method of appeal only if you think your IP address is in fact not a web host.Administrators: The IP block exemption user right should only be applied to allow users to edit using web host in exceptional circumstances, and they should usually be directed to the functionaries team via email. If you intend to give the IPBE user right, a CheckUser needs to take a look at the account. This can be requested most easily at SPI Quick Checkuser Requests. Unblocking an IP or IP range with this template is highly discouraged without at least contacting the blocking administrator.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
