Edit warring[edit]

Please do not make changes against consensus as you have done on 2022 World Snooker Championship. The edit summaries you left suggest that you believe this to be an edit war, however, it is not. You are breaking WP:LIVESCORES. Feel free to comment on the talk page where there is a discussion ongoing, but continue doing this is Disruptive editing. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 13:56, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring is prohibited in ALL cases. I'm not sure why you think that rule doesn't apply to you, but if there is an internal issue on the page that results in constant edit warring, it is important that a resolution be found. Your continued use of edit warring (and possible use of sockpuppetry to continue doing so) is not justified by whatever discussion rule you're attempting to uphold. If you use multiple accounts a checkuser will find it eventually. As Wikipedia itself says on the matter:
"Claiming "My edits were right, so it wasn't edit warring" is not a valid defense." 71.185.204.213 (talk) 14:09, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Why is my edit "edit-warring" but your revert of my edits not edit-warring. You need to listen to your own advice and not edit-war. "Claiming "My edits were right, so it wasn't edit warring" is not a valid defense." Nigej (talk) 14:22, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Undoing countless edits, repeatedly, is called edit warring. My single instance of reverting yet another edit you'd undone in order to tell you to stop edit warring is not exactly the same thing. I'm beginning to understand why edit-warring users revert to sockpuppetry so often.
If there is an issue internally on the page, you all need to come to a resolution that does not involve constantly edit warring. I'm not sure why that page in particular seems incapable of grasping that. 71.185.204.213 (talk) 14:31, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not true. You made 3 successive edits which were reverts on that page. Claiming that my edit was edit-warring but yours are not is what my father used to call "rank hypocrisy". As you said, "edit warring is PROHIBITED IN ALL CASES", even to make a point about edit warring. Nigej (talk) Nigej (talk) 14:51, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think I did? I meant to only revert one of your edits, like I said, to try to make sure users knew to stop edit warring. I reverted one of Lee's and one of yours I thought, and obviously you two aren't alts. Look I don't know what's going on with Lee, but I didn't mean to cause any issues, I have no issue with you directly, there was just a lot of back and forth editing going on in a snooker page (for the thousandth time) 71.185.204.213 (talk) 15:02, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
